They ate tree leafs: it was not very good but the ants had nothing else. One day, one of the ants discovered a mushroom in the middle of the leaf pile, in the nest of the colony. It was so hungry, that it crunched the mushroom…. This one implored the ant to stop and proposed a deal: if the ant let it grow in the leaf pile, it will have the opportunity to eat some little parts of the mushroom every day…

The ant, delighted, accepted. So the ants' nest became a real breeding of mushrooms. The ant made beds of leafs for the mushrooms which proliferated every day. The ants took some parts for their daily meals.

Now, fifty thousands years later, the descendants of this colony care on and cultivate the descendants of these mushrooms...
